Yes you can use drops once in a day for chronic allergic problems like antihistaminics and  mast cell stabilizers but one should avoid the use of Steroids for longer period of time as it can lead to Side Effects

If allergy is persistent then you should avoid using contact lenses at least for a short period of time till the allergy is completely treated, you can start wearing the lenses once the problem settles

also one should check the contact lens for any precipitates and go for good quality contact lenses preferably disposables
