I'm a teetotaller. Recently I read that drinking Red wine moderately reduces chances of heart disease and cancer. Is it true? Is it wise to consume red wine.?

Trials have shown that alcohol doesn't have a preventive role in CAD for south Asian populations
Even red wine
The beneficial effect of alcohol in prevention of CAD has only been established in European and American populations
Also alcohol has other harmful effects which are numerous
So best is to avoid alcohol

Ha ha. I would say remaining a teetotaller is your best bet to live a cancer free and heart disease free life. These few studies of red wine have been done on white race individuals living in cold temperate climates. Don't apply it as it is on us south asians.
