I've had aches at the temples (mainly the left temple) off and on, if not everyday for almost a year. I think I screwed myself up, on June 23, 2017 I had intercourse. I felt burning when urinating thinking it was a UTI, so I started taking Nitrofurantoin, AZO numbing tablets, AZO Cranberry tablets, Valtrex (hsv2 positive) and Birth Control. NOTHING WORKED! So now I'm left with headaches at temple, no fever or any other symptoms.

Genital herpes is an infection caused by either type one or type two of the HSV Herpes simplex virus type one (HSV-1) typically causes oral herpes, and can also cause genital herpes. However, genital herpes is more often caused by the herpes simplex virus type two (HSV-2). Both types of the virus can cause headaches.
Along with headaches and flu-like symptoms, the herpes simplex virus can also cause:
Tingling, itching, or burning around the genitals
Blisters that break open and cause painful sores
Pain from urine contact with sores
Backaches
Although there is no cure for herpes, there are treatments that can make the virus more manageable and prevent frequent recurrence of symptoms. Antiviral medications, such as Acyclovir, Famciclovir, and Valacyclovir, may be prescribed to lessen the severity and frequency of outbreaks.
Over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, may be taken to relieve pain caused by the headaches and flu symptoms
