My baby was born with a birth defect, a possible lipoma at the end of the spinal chord, doctors suggested an MRI to find out the further complications, but being an infant of just five months she needs to be scanned under anaesthasia for a better result. now the different opinions and confusions about the general anaesthasia in infants worrying me and stopping me to go ahead. please suggest.

Usually for babies and young children, an MRI under anaesthesia is adviced. As they cannot like still for the duration of the scan.
