Dear and respected Doctors, I think I put myself on big risk today. I had run out if water so drank water from the street which was non chlorinated and might be infected. But what has me very worried is that while drinking the water from the tumbler, I felt a bit odd in my nose and as a reflux just blew my nose mildly as a habit. And to my dismay I could feel water droplets coming in my nose. I am very scared now, I had lost my father and I am very scared since. Please tell me honestly can the residual water go deep far up in the nose and to the olfactory nerves to cause infection of N Fowleri in the brain from the mouth while drinking or after drinking if we blow our nose mildly or slowly and not aggressively? You all are experts and I pray you guide me. I am sorry I act in this panic way but please clear my doubt. Will I live?
