Burping should be done in effective and timely manner for atleast 15 min irrespective of how many times child burps. U can continue simethicone drops but don't over use it.

The most apt and effective solution to this  problem is exclusive breastfeeding. Try to breastfeed as much as possible, do burping for 20-30 min and continue colicaid drops 5 drops tds. Try to avoid formula milk specially with feeding bottle.
