Cold and cough
Hi sir /mam, My 2 years son gets cold and cough often he joined school. Even doctor suggest not to give lot of medicine. How long with this continue. When will his improve in this regards.. Should I give him medicine when ever he gets cold. Request you to please help me out Thanks in advance for your support

Yes, your doctor is correct in that UNNECESSARY ANTIBIOTIC USAGE SHOULD BE AVOIDED! These minor infections are necessary to jump start you child's immune system. Until now, your child was exclusively dependent on his mother's immune defense passed on to him/her via the breast milk! These infections should only be managed symptomatically with analgesics and antipyretics for the fever and nasal decongestant drops and antihistamine syrups for the colds and probiotic sachets and oral rehydration therapy for any loose motions.
