What is cmv infection.. I am submitting the report... Explain please...cmv igg cytomegalovirus is 96.60 and herpes simplex virus 1+2 serum is 6.28..she suffered from tuberculosis 50 years ago

The above reports convey that her immunity is very low, and so she has contracted viral infections like herpes, rubella and CMV.
CMV is a type of virus which is present in almost all people. It is called CYTOMEGALOVIRUS. Usually, in healthy individuals, it doesn't cause any problems or symptoms. But in individuals who have a weak immume system either due to other diseases, pregnancy, breastfeeding, new born babies or old age, this can cause symptoms like throat pain, fatigue, muscle weakness, etc.
