Cmv igg avidity test
I am 30 years old and my Nuchal translucency is 3.2mm at 13 week scanning. Now I am at 14 week pregnancy stage. Doctor suggested TORCH test now and aminocentesis at 16 week. Yesterday torch result came. I think my torch result is normal. But nurse told me that there is a little infection . So take CMV igg avidity test.why that test is done? I am attaching my torch report here.

CMV IGg avidity test helps to differentiate primary (active) CMV infection with past infection.
So low avidity indicates increased risk of congenital infection whereas high avidity indicates low risk
