I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been taking iron capsules CoeHB from Koye regularly. The cover description says - Ferrous Asparto-Glycinate , L-Methylfolate & Mecobalamin capsules This time when I ordered the same capsules CoeHB, there was a slight difference in packing and also description. The description says - Ferrous Asparto-Glycinate , L-Methylfolate Calcium & Mecobalamin tablets. Instead of capsules, I received tablets. See attachments. My question is - Is it ok to take the new CoeHB with Calcium ? Although I am taking calcium tablets (CC Zems) also twice in a day. Will it not an overdose of calcium.

Hello dear patient, both the medicines are same... L methylfolate is with calcium as a salt. So taking it will add to very little calcium to your body. It will not create any overdose. Usually many medications are salts of calcium or potassium or sodium. So they add a very little amount of that in body. Your previous l methylfolate tab is also a salt of sodium or potassium or calcium, it's just they have not printed it. Nowadays almost all the local methylfolate comes as a calcium salt. I hope you got the answer. Tc
