Got diagnosed with a UIT with a possible early stages of a kidney infection and was prescribed 500mg tab bid 10 days. Less than about 16 hours after taking the first dosage i noticed pain in my hamstrings and in some tendons in my ankles, however, it could possibly be from skating on friday evening.

Yes your muscle soreness are due to skating activity. Watch out for signs like rashes, fever, breathlessness, swollen lips or genitalia. These are classic allergic signs. If at all they appear stop the medicine immediately and rush to the nearest hospital.
Other wise continue treatment as advised. Drink lots of water.
