Chylamida and boyfriend

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I went to my annual and found that I had chlyamida. My boyfriend and I were having unprotected sex at the time and many months before, and even had it after we knew because we assumed he’d have it. He was tested at the hospital and it came back negative. How is that possible? I wasn’t having any intercourse with anyone else either.
