Chronic pancreatitis
My brother is suffering chronic pancreatitis for last 4 to 5 years.. During treatment doctors diagnose about abnormal increase in lipase and amylase.. They keep them under drips and pain killer.. Slowly the patient comes to normal stage and slowly his diet starts.. This is the repeat task for us for last 5 years..
Is there any one who can help me out here and can any one suggest about any permanent treatment.. Medicine or surgery or transplant organ.. Anything..
He us student with normal behaviour.. He not having any bad habits like liquor or any drug or any other..

Chronic pancreatitis has very limited Treatment options. What is the mri/ mrcp findings. If pancreatic duct is large then it can be diverted ( operated). Other wise there is no specific treatment except pain management. For pain management various options including nerve blocks can be tried.
