Chronic cough breathing problem
Hello Doctor, My first problem started with chronic cough and breathing difficulty about 5 years ago. After that, I started getting headaches, joint pain, eye pain, chest pain  & discomfort, and right side abdominal pain. I have taken treatment, but my symptoms are still continuing. Please advise what could be the cause and what tests or specialist consultation I may need.

Your symptoms are not limited to only the lungs because along with chronic cough and breathing difficulty, you are also experiencing joint pain, eye pain, chest discomfort, headaches, and abdominal pain. This pattern may sometimes be seen in chronic inflammatory, allergic, autoimmune, or infectious conditions, so a detailed evaluation is important to identify the exact cause rather than repeatedly treating symptoms alone.
Next Steps
Consult pulmonologist Initial investigation may require- CBC, ESR/CRP, chest X-ray, and pulmonary function test. Further if needed- HRCT chest, TB evaluation, or autoimmune profile, ophthalmology and rheumatology consultation may be required
Health Tips
Do not ignore worsening symptoms. Avoid self-medication.
