Cholesterol Levels and Heart Health
Hi doctor, Recently I taken blood test and found following results which have marked non hdl and hdl ratio has high value. I'm software engineer and I've sedentary lifestyle mostly. Normal walking daily. No obesity. BMI is 20. Eating non vegetarian mostly. No smoking n no alcohol habits. No chronic illnesses. So please tell me I'm in critical with results? LIPID PROFILE TOTAL CHOLESTEROL ( OXIDASE/PEROXIDASE) 200 mg/dl TRIGLYCERIDES (GPO/ENZYMATIC) 114 mg/dl HDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT (PVS-PEGME Method) 48.6 mg/dl LDL CHOLESTEROL (Calculated) 128.6 mg/dl NON HDL CHOLESTEROL 151.4 VLDL 22.8 CHOL / HDL RATIO 4.12 TGL / HDL RATIO 2.35

Most important thing is your ldl and hdl levels, Ldl is little bit high. Hdl is normal. I'm Presuming you have no premature heart diseases in family. Try exercise, have proper diet, and reduce stress as much as possible. Repeat this test after 3months, if ldl is persistently more than 100 you need to take medication.
