First you should get your igG levels for chicken pox tested. If you have enough antibody levels then vaccination is not required . Also if you or your partner have had chicken pox before and your immunity is good which is indicated by your antibody levels, vaccination is not required. Post exposure immunoglobulin is required than vaccination which is also required in certain conditions like pregnancy etc.
