Chest xray
My friend used to take 2 cigarettes per day. It's been 4 months he left smoking, if we do a chest x ray still will it show that he was smoking or the effect of smoking?

2 cigarettes per day since how long ? Unlikely to show on xray if it's not been long enough. P.s no previous pathology present.

Yes.  It  will  still  show the effects of smoking.  In fact the process of lung damage is arrested at the stage when you stop smoking but there is no reversal of damage.
