Chest pain and cough

Dear doc, I was smoking from last 6 years and last 2 years I have smoked almost at 6 cigarettes per day. Now I am quitting the smoking but some symptoms are observing me like runny nose, cough, tightness in chest both sides and centre, pain in chest, different colour cough.. I am having these symptoms since 3 days

Hello, These symtpoms are a result of your smoking rather than your trial at quitting. You will see the benefits of quitting one week into quitting. Your body starts recovering from the damages within weeks of giving up smoking. Lung function improve and cardiac risk factors comes down, please keep at it and do not get discouraged.
