Hi Alopecia areata is a common autoimmune condition. This means that for some reason your own body is attacking and making the hair fall. The good news is that this condition hair always grows back. Thyroid dysfunction and stress can make this worse. Please take antioxidants supplements. There are injections as well as creams  and lotions which can help. Do meet a dermatologist for a second time
