#ChennaiRainsHelp Osteoporosis of knee ?

Asked for Female, 54 Years

Left leg knee koints swellings and acute pain while climbing steps and pains while walking as well. She is also under medication for hypo thyroidism for last 7 to 8 years. What is the line of treatment? Is knee transplant is a solution or alternative medicine like acupuncture would be beneficial? Plz advise.

Please get vit D blood test and X-ray of both knees done. She probably has osteoarthritis of knees. Consult Ortho surgeon for medication and physiotherapy. The grade of osteoarthritis will decide if she requires knee replacement or not.
