Hello sir/mam My mother has been taking psychiatric tablets for 15+years recently she has a breakdown episode due to lack of sleep because of travel The doctor increased her dosage for 2 weeks Her previous tablet dosage Riscon LS (Risperidone 2MG + Trihexyphenidyl 2MG) Loricon 2 (Lorezapem 2MG) Current dosage Riscon forte (Risperidone 4MG + Trihexyphenidyl 2MG) Loricon 2 (Lorezapem 2MG) Ecitane 2 morning Her psychiatrist is out of town for a week and she is feeling stiffness all over body and very tired I need some advice on this situation even after this dose adjustment she is having trouble falling asleep Thank you

Hi. What your mother is experiencing is a mild side effect of sudden increase in dosage of risperidone from 2mg to 4 mg. I suggest that you make it Riscon Plus which is 3mg of risperidone. For her sleep you can give her Loricon 2mg half tablet before food and 1 tablet after food. That should solve the problem
