I had a usg for my cervical lymph nodes, it is paining in my neck jaw and back of neck. I have a sore throat as well and stye in my eye a week back. I am in my third day of antibiotic still no much improvement. Please advice
Your scan report mentions thyroiditis along with reactive lymph nodes in the neck, which often goes along with a recent infection like your sore throat and stye rather than a thyroid problem on its own. The report itself suggests a thyroid function test to confirm this properly.
Next Steps
Get the thyroid function test the report recommends, and see a physician if there's no real improvement by day five on the antibiotic, so the course can be reviewed.
Health Tips
Go in sooner if you get high fever, the swelling increases, or you have trouble swallowing or breathing.
