Do you have diabetes or a family history of diabetes? It is quite odd to have a non healing wound in someone of your age. This needs to be looked at in more detail, maybe by a General Surgeon or a Plastic Surgeon. The wound will have to be cleaned and washed. There are treatments like Negative suction therapy available which help wounds to heal. Long standing wounds tend to cause problems if not dealt with correctly. Please see a General Surgeon or a Plastic Surgeon. Dr Vinu Raj MBBS MRCS MRCS(Trauma&Orthopaedics) Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
