My daughter 5 yrs has cavity in her milk tooth... One of d doc suggested for root canal... Is it recommended to have root canal for 5 yrs and that too in her milk tooth.

Yes, Cavity needs to be treated and has to be done as soon as possible.
Whether a root canal is required or no i will be able to comment only after examining or looking at the x ray.
After treating this cavity, you should also look at cavity prevention measures like fluorides or sealants.
