I have problem of iching in and around vaginal area for last two years. I have consulted gynaecologist regarding that. She confirmed that it's yeast infection and i had taken complete treatment. But after 8 months of treatment, I did not find any relaxation in itching. After that I have consulted dermatologist and she confirmed it's vulvar eczema but after taking treatment of another 7 months, nothing improved.
I don't know what is exactly the problem? Is it related to psychological?
Because from last two years, many changes comes in my behaviour. As now I cannot tolerate any kind of dirt or filth. Something happens to me after seeing it. I got distracted band try to avoid the place. Is it the reason I am not getting recovered from this problem?
Please suggest.

Hi
Vaginal itching can cause a lot of discomfort and it can affect day to day life. You have had vaginal itching problem for two years and doctor said it is yeast infection and you have taken medication for it. You have then consulted another doctor who confirmed it is vulvar eczema. You have taken treatment for seven months and there has been no improvement.
The itching is causing you to feel extremely anxious. In some cases emotional stress can cause vaginal itching. It is important to know if you think about itching often and if you are stressed about whether the itching is going to stop or not. You are also feeling extremely upset about itching to a point that you are not able to tolerate any kind of dirt or filth. If you are feeling extremely uncomfortable you can consult another doctor. You can also consult a psychologist to manage anxiety.
Hi... If there are no physical rashes or any visible marks and still you are feeling itchy, it is something which may have a psychological cause. But before attributing it to psychological factors you must completely rule out the physiological factors by consulting a doctor for second opinion.
You might be suffering from OCD but the information given above is to less to make that distinction.

Namaste,
Regret to hear what you’re going through. Yes, physical ailments are often affected due to poor mental health, especially if autoimmune. Non-tolerance to dirt/filth could be an indication of cleaning obsession or problems alive which might need a psychological evaluation to get to the root of the problem at hand.
