Cataract Surgery
My mother 53 years from India is having Cataract problem for the past 2 years. Initially doctor prescribed to take eye drops. But recently she had it bit worse and feel something like looking through spiderweb. We have consulted her last week and doc prescribed to do surgery within 3 months. For time being doc also suggested to put eye drops(Lubrex) for one month to check whether the drops is responding or not. I am writing this to get expert suggestion regarding this. If we go for surgery what all things wee need to consider. Do we need to select any specific lens for surgery. Is there any side effect we need to expect after surgery . Will the cataract surgery is permanent. Please help me out in this. Thanks for the help in advance.

You can safely go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens ( acryosof single piece ALCON) ,I have 20yrs experience with this lens,  there is no or rare  posterior capsule opacity (pco) in this lens, there is no medicine to improve vision if there is cataract, with regard Dr Arjun kr Singh Patna.
