Hi there.. heart attack chances are very less or nil in women who are menstruating as they have estrogen which is protective for heart which thins blood, prevents blood clot and block in blood vessels and thus chances of heart attack also is less.. but after periods stop ie once menopause attained which usually is at 45-50years, then even females are at risk of heart attack.. infact research shows after menopause women at double risk of heart attack than men of same age.. symptoms of heart attack are same in men and women which includes chest pain usually left side which radiates to left arm and chest pain comes on exertion, associated with sweating, giddiness,breathlessness.. hope this helped you..
