Cancer preventive diagnos
Hi, my father and grandfather both have had cancer. Throat and Liver respectively. I have been advised to check my self for the same. What are the preventive diagNostic tests I can do for checking my self .

For liver cancer ( HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA ) the tumour marker is ALFA FETOPROTEIN level in blood and ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN . For throat cancer t screening is Direct Laryngoscopy by an ENT doctor. Neither cancer is familial or hereditary. I'm surprised why you have been asked for a regular screening
