Its generally said to cut sugar to prevent the growth of cancer cells. So is Stevia a good alternative to be used instead of sugar in tea, coffee etc or is it just as harmful? What could be the other alternatives?

MSKCC has warned warned about mutation causing nature of stevia at high doses.
4mg/kg body weight is recommonded as upper limit for consumption in USA and UK.
There are no guidelines in India.
Basically u have to reduce sugar contents that does not mean u have to take alternatives.

There is no direct evidence that sugar causes cancer..
Any ways lot of sugar is bad for general health...
So it is better to decrease processed sugars..
