Can USG detect a tumor in colon.
I had consulted two gastroenterologists for my bowl bowel problem. One of them recommended a colonoscopy the other one said its not that important for me as of now. He recommended some other tests, those are USG, whole abdomen, blood for CBC. My question is can USG detect tumor in colon?

Colonic tumours are best identified by colonoscopy. Colonoscopy can even identify early/small tumours. USG can rule out some more common diseases in the abdomen.
Next Steps
Get a colonoscopy. If you are hesitant, speak to your gastroenterologist and plan a CT scan of the abdomen.
