I need some advice. My sister has SLE, which I know is a genetically linked disease. I’ve been experiencing breathing problems, and my doctor prescribed Foracort 200 inhaler. However, I found out that it contains corticosteroids, and I’m really worried.
My sister’s SLE was triggered by corticosteroid use, and while I understand that SLE is less common in men, but wonder—could this inhaler increase my risk of developing it too?
I've attached my reports, and I’m wondering if my concern is valid or if I’m overthinking it. Also, is there a possibility of using a non-steroidal inhaler instead, or is this the best option based on my condition?
I am male,age 28.
