My son's nose blocked from one side due to Deviated nasal septum. After few weeks turbinates and adenoids also got enlarged. SO now nose blocked from both side. Doctors suggested operation of DNS and removing of turbinates and adenoids. One doctor said due to age of 13 only DNS can repeat with growth of his body ,so he will not operate DNs, he only remove adenoids and turbinates.
My query is that - if let we do not operation of DNS, and doctor just removae turbinates and adenoids . Can adenoids and turbinates again get enlarged in future.
Thanks

It is unlikely for adenoids to be persistently enlarged at the age of 13 year. Turbinate hypertrophy can occur because of acute infection of nose or allergy of the nose. You should first try using steroid nasal sprays, antibiotics for few weeks. If symptoms persist then you can consider surgery. Turbinates are usually reduced in size by a surgery known as turbinoplasty and usually it is very effective
