Can apple cider vinegar be used for wart removal?

Hi my son is 13 year old and he has a small wart near his ear. I don't want to make him undergo any surgery for removal of these warts as he is very young for that. However I have read few home remedies especially apple cider vinegar is used to remove warts. Kindly guide on how does apple cider vinegar be used for removal of warts.
