Calcus 5-6 mm at left mid ureter
- My wife, 39 years old, has impacted calculus in the left mid-ureter near the iliac vessel crossing, experiencing pain and slightly turbid urine. - Sonography (USG KUB) shows a 5-6mm calculus in the left mid-ureter just distal to iliac vessel crossing. - Pre-void bladder volume: 517 cc, post-void residue: 121 cc. Pathology reports: RBC count 25-30, pus cells 8-10, epithelial cells 10-12. - History: In 2012, a 7.2mm calculus was managed with medications. - Q.1: Will the stone pass on its own? - Q.2: Is surgery required? If yes, what kind, and how long can we wait? - Q.3: Can dietary changes and increased water intake help address the issue? Report's attached
