Gall stone can lead to many serious problems like obstructive jaundice, acute pancreayitis etc. but the basic disease is in the gall bladder where these stones form.
So the Surgical option has always been since the time of only open surgery till date, that is to remove the gall bladder with its contents including stones in it. If clinically indicated, and symptomatic, that is the option, at present mostly laparoscopic. You may not agree and may not sign a consent for surgery and ask for non Surgical option. Your surgeon will respect it but no one can assure you about immunity against gall stone related complications.
