Burning sensation in tongue
Hello Doctor, Please help, my kid - 5yr old before few days sipped hot coffee, just the first sip. I gave some normal water after that. Even after few days now he says he has burning sensation in the center of the tongue. Not the whole tongue. He has a white layer on the tongue , so I am not able to see whether there is still any wound beneath it. Help pls , please reply I am afraid what to do.

Please consult a pediatrician to examine the tongue. White layer could be a secondary infection after the burn. For pain relief, you may apply ice cube on the area.
