Considering the history you seem to have pulled a muscle. Take pain killers as necessary, do gentle stretching and use hot fomentation (hot water bottle) to help relieve muscle spasm. The pain will take a few days to subside.

Hello. This seems like a muscle sprain. So hot or cold fomentation with anti inflammatories should help. If the pain is not improving after a week, or if you have clicking & locking in hip joint, please see an orthopaedic surgeon as you may have a labral injury which may require further investigation.
Next Steps
Above.
