Brown strip on Thumb Nail
My name is Vijay. I am having a brown strip on my left hand thumb nail from more than a year. As it was not changing at all, I ignored it. But last week I have observed a ridge on my nail. It is there exactly on my brown strip. I just googled about this and I found some disturbing results claiming a possibility of cancer. I need to consult with doctor.

There could be enough reason for a brown line like that. The best way is to meet a Dermatologist who may plan for a nail biopsy to determine the reason for this. It usually takes around a week to get the results. It's worth taking the efforts to know if it's sinister.
