Is it common in a 2.5 year old to have mild broncho pneumonia? How serious is it ? Pls help .m worried

Hello dear, mild pneumonia is common in this age group and nothing to worry about it. It can be treated at home with adequate fluid intake and proper medications. You as a parent just need to monitor few things like the child's activity level, breathing rate and pattern, whether he/she is accepting oral feeds or not, colour of his lips, fingers and toes. Bronchopneumonia can be treated with oral medication. Your child need chest physiotherapy along with oral medication .
