Breastvfeeding verclav
Is it safe to use amoxyclav 625 while breast feeding. Will it affect the baby. If so please suggest me an antibiotic for pharyngitis. Am breastfeeding the baby

is safe for the baby and is secreted in breast milk ;you need to change it if it causes diarrhoea or loose motions in the child or child is having an upset tummy problem then you can shift to other drugs.

Hello there..... Amoxicillin is excreted into human milk in small amounts and is considered compatible with breast-feeding...... Clavulanate has not been detected in human milk. Adverse effects in the nursing infant are unlikely. The recommends caution when amoxicillin-clavulanate is administered to a nursing woman..... However, amoxyclav is generally a safer drug during lactational period.....
