My baby boy is 5 months old and on breastfeed. He usually drink every hour in day time and during night he need to drink 2-3 times ... is it Normal? Is he getting enough milk ... the duration of drinking is 10-15 mins in every feed ... plz guide how to know if he is getting enough milk and not hungry ... he is passing potty every alternate day once a day.... and I am getting enough milk ...

Hi mam Usually babies should be breast feed 10-12 times a day Also night feeding for 2-3 times is recommended.
Next Steps
You could feed him for longer time during each feed around 20-30 min. Also feed him on one breast till complete emptying before offering other breast. Your baby is feeding enough if - baby is passing urine 6-8 times a day -sleeps for 90-120 minutes after each feed -Is gaining weight

Look out for hunger cues - opening eyes and looking from side to side, opening mouth and turning head : these are the initial cues if not fed at these cues, baby will be irritable and have excessive cry
