My mother had a major stroke on 15th august.and also she had operation in the left front brain .how much time it will take to regenerate the damage cell,will it regrow and will do function again ,how much we can expect,it has been 7 months ,she is getting very agitated and adamant day by day ,unable to speak anything.

if the brain cell is dead , then their ia no other cell to regenerate. That is the end. but very rarely remaining cells can take up the function. It is called neuroplasticity. but the effect is very minimal. you can only wait and do regular physiotherapy
