It is common in those people who are in that condition will become immunocompromised and are susceptible to infections at this point. He will require antibiotics which will be given intravenously which should help. It is likely that a culture of the infection is sent and the most sensitive antibiotic will be used. Once the infection comes under control the wounds will heal better and the wounds should be taken care of and kept clean at all times.
