Had a fall on 21 Nov 2016 followed by vomitting and giddiness, internal bleeding was detected, Dr Sunil Kutty's opinion was no surgery required but advised to have a citi scan after 3 weeks. Citi scan was performed on 16 December and the study reveals presence of (1) ill defined hypodensity in basi- frontal lobe s/o sequalae hemorrhage contusion. (2) subdural collection s/o most likely subdural hematoma, in bilateral fronto-parieto-occipital region ( maximum thickness 5.5 mm and 4.9 mm on right and left side respectively .
Hyperdensity seen within the collection ( right>left). Is surgery compulsory, or is there any other way of treatment.
