Body temperature below 95 degree

Asked for Female, 28 Years

My new born who is 1 month old has a temperature of 95 and 94 degree however his hands are cold but his neck and back is full of sweat. Is this a sign of fever or we might over-covered the baby because of which this happens. He even didn't sleep properly means just sleeping for 30-45 mins and start crying. What should I do to make him feel better?

No fever. You're not over covered the baby and he requires it for weight gain and comfort to sleep properly. He only requires to be fed for 15 to 20 minutes as against they feed for 5 minutes and sleepoff,which again causes hunger and passes urine by 1/2 hour.

Next Steps

Give one breast complete emptied and then turn to other side as this causes fore milk and hind milk to be fed which satisfy the needs of the baby.
