Hello user, thick mucous from the nose is generally due to an infection in the nose or sinuses. The blood can be due to severe infection too. The blood in mucous is not a good sign and I would suggest you to visit a Rhinologist or an ENT doctor at the earliest. It may not be something alarming but still a thorough checkup is advisable...
