While air travelling one should be prepared for ascent and descent pressure changes. And these changes are more flying long hours.  Many a times body cannot adjust with these pressure changes.  There is blockage in ears accompanied with pain and in extreme cases ear drum rupture with discharge. Pressure pain over the face. Nasal bleed though not very common but can still happen in few people.
Next Steps
these problems  do not continue for long once patient is out of flight. prevention is better than cure.  so avoid air travelling while you are suffering from cold.  carry a small bottle of water or a candy and have it while ascent and decent of flight, or you can simply swallow your saliva during these pressure changes. during episode of nasal bleed, there is no need to panic, just apply pressure (pinch) over ur nose and bend forward and start breathing through your mouth. once pressure changes ceases to happen this will stop
