  4. Blood transfusion. Is this okay?

My mother underwent laparoscopic surgery for her uterus. Her hemoglobin level was 8, and the doctor recommended a blood transfusion. We arranged for blood from the blood bank, which was brought to the ward. The blood was kept there for almost two hours. After that, when we checked with the nurse about the transfusion, it only started after two hours. Is this okay? I'm feeling worried.
