I have recently noticed a rise in my blood sugar to 135/mg while checking the blood sugar of my father who is a diabetic patient for the last 20 years. Does it mean i have become a diabetic or it does rise sometimes because of excessive sweets etc.

Random sugar of 135 doesn't mean you are diabetic. You need to do fasting sugar (FBS), HbA1c and OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) to know whether you have diabetes or not. Anyways, be careful as you have family history of diabetes.
