Hello Doctor, my father is 60 yrs old, still working in Police department, 1 week onwards he says he sees blood when he urinates, he has little high bp and he drinks with a limit. No other problem he has. Is it anything problamtic. Why he gets blood while urinating, what treatment we should give him.

Blood in the urine can be due to multiple reaaons. It can be due to infection, stones or tumour. We need to find out the cause. So some investigation is required. Urine culture, serum PSA and USG KUB. These are basic tests and if needed CT urogram. Based on that we can plan treatment.
